Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a peaceful New Year --

I'm going through boxes of old work in preparation for redoing my website.  I definitely don't remember doing this one, it must have been a while ago...

It's the holiday season, and the virtual candygram is back! Between now and December 20, I will draw any jolly message you want, in M&Ms, and send you the artwork as a digital file ready for unlimited emailing to friends and family, blogging, or whatever suits your fancy. It's eco-friendly! It's fun! Choose your candy colors and click to pay ($20, same as mailing a box of greeting cards!) The first person to order gets the original drawing of their holiday message, for keeps! Happy Holidays!

I made notebooks for Holly's class. They turned out adorable, so I thought I'd offer them here.

Printed to order from original linocut.  Space at the bottom for me to stamp your child's name in black ink.  (Or leave blank for your child to write their own name.)

$10 apiece, get them while they last.

Could it be a book?

I'm bringing the old blog back to life with some good news. In September, I officially became a client of the terrific children's book agent Steven Malk, of Writers House!

A selection of my doodles are now included in the Writers House illustrators portfolio. Take a look -- and if you'd like to hear about upcoming books (oh yes, I said books) please subscribe to my mailing list!

PS Somebody pinch me!

This is it. The year is over. And so is 52 Pictures.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who visited, subscribed, commented, linked, bought art, pirated my work for unauthorized greeting card use or just whispered secret encouragement. It was great to know you were out there.

In the next week I'll be making available fine stationery and other tasteful and useful items bearing your favorite 52 Pictures images. Just in time for those holiday thank-you notes! Selected pieces of original art and limited edition prints will also be available. This is probably something I should have set up months ago, but I'm still getting used to this here intreenet.

So please feel free to stay subscribed. I don't promise a picture a week in '08, but I will keep posting things I'm working on for your enjoyment.

Happy New Year.
